Directions to The Battleground

From New York, Connecticut and Western Massachusetts

Take I-91 North to I-89 North to Exit 9 (which is the Middlesex Exit and also notes Waitsfield and Warren). Take a left off the exit ramp and go to the stop sign. Take another left at stop sign and proceed for approximately 1/2 mile. Turn right onto Route 100B South.

Follow 100B South to Route 100 South (they merge and become 100 South). Continue on 100 South into Waitsfield. Just south of the center of the Irasville commercial center there is an intersection of Routes 100 and 17. Take a right onto Route 17 going west. The Battleground is located approximately 4 miles up Route 17 on the right.

From New York City and Points West

Take I-87 North to Ticonderoga Exit, Route 74 East. At light at the junction of Route 9N, 74 and 22 take a left onto 9N North/22 North. North of Crown Point watch for right turn onto Route 17 East (signs say to Vermont and Chimney Point Bridge Crossing). Follow all signs for Route 17 as you will be on this route until you turn into the Battleground. It is about an hour +/- from when you turn onto Route 17. You will go up and over the Appalachian Gap of the Green Mountains, past Mad River Glen Ski Area. From Mad River Glen you are 1 mile from the Battleground (left hand turn).

Alternate Directions from New York City and Points West

NY thruway to Exit 24 to Northway (Route I-87) to Exit 20, Fort Ann. Route 149 to Route 4 to Route 100 North to Route 17.
Take a left onto Route 17 going west. The Battleground is located approximately 4 miles up Route 17 on the right.

Take I-93 North to I-89 in Bow, NH (just south of Concord). Follow I-89 North into Vermont to Exit 9 (which is the Middlesex Exit and also notes Waitsfield and Warren). Take I-89 South to Exit 10 (which is the Waterbury/Stowe Exit). Take a right off the ramp and then a left at the intersection. This will be Route 2 East/Route 100 South. At the south end of the town of Waterbury, take a right and continue on Route 100 South.

After about 5 or 6 miles take another right following Route 100 South into Waitsfield. Just south of the center of the Irasville commercial center there is an intersection of Routes 100 and 17. Take a right onto Route 17 going west. The Battleground is located approximately 4 miles up Route 17 on the right.

LOCAL

Go through The Battleground's covered bridge and to unit #3 where your key will be.

Please be aware, many restaurants in the Mad River Valley stop seating tables at 9:30. You may wish to stop along the way, if you're running late.
